Show MILITIA MUST COMPLY WITH THE LAWS Washington, Sept. 1 Federa.1 funds are not to be used after January 1 tnext for the organized militia of the states unless the citizen soldiery com-pl.es com-pl.es with the law, which declares their organizations "aboil be tho some as that which Is or may hereafter hereaft-er bo prescribed for the regular army of tho United States." This order was issued by war department de-partment today. The law was passed several years ago and Secretary Garrison Gar-rison expresses the belief thnt "a sufficient suf-ficient time hns now elnpsed to enable en-able tho states more definitely to con form in organization to tho regular army." Th's principal of replacing missing companies within six months applies alike to infantry cav-alry, and Ileal artillery. |
