Tho price paid by our Condensed Milk Co.,-tho "Utah" for milk Is greater than lias ever been paid here. For tho past threo weeks butter fat was 33 cents whllo for somo time previous lo tho 33 cents raise tho farmets wcro getting from 31 cents up for butter.fat In cooled milk, and during dur-ing this time butter on our local market mar-ket was sold at 35 to 40 cents per pound. Wo wjrc, therefore, ahead In that. Whllo wo were getting moro for our milk wo were also paying less per pound for butter than were our Hyrum neighbors. Tho success which Is attained in dairying, which In truth has,. hardly began here, is due greatly to "tho cntcrprlso of the Condi n ed Milk companies. Tho Ralney-Hcndrlcks skating rink In Shepard's stoio has been closed, and no doubt permanently, as Mr. Ralney and wlfo havo accepted positions posi-tions on the O. S. L. construction division di-vision and havo already left for Garner, Gar-ner, Ida,, where tho brldgo outfit Is now working. Mrs Ralney will do the cooking. Frank Hendricks, In company com-pany with his brother, John W , .of Oxford, Idaho, has contracted three miles of railroad work In Wyoming, near Yalc.-wlth more contracts In view. Alma and Orson Hair left Monday in company with Oco. Evans, of St. Anthony, Idaho, who was visiting at W. A. flair's, for an extended trip to northern Idaho. Tho roads havo become so bad that tho Caclio Valley Mills were compelled to partly shut down until teams can get to and from tho mill. -Mrs. Gcorgo Bowman and little one hao been yjsltlng with her father, Mr. Sorcnson, Hut few people here knew that Dr. Clark, of tho Utah State Hoard of Health, made an oillclal visit to Richmond Rich-mond Tuesday. Ho Inspected the city and 'on ml It free from contagious dlseast In speaking of the corral nuisance, nui-sance, Dr. Clark said that the Board U determined to have all corrals In tho Stato moved back from the street at least 100 feet, and from that to 200 feet. At Wlllard, recently, tho Board compelled tho removal of thirteen corrals. Tho doctor was very emphatic in recommending that Richmond get control of Its water system and pointed point-ed clearly tho many advantages that will bo derived by tho public. Wm. F. Smith, who for tho past twclvo vars has had charge of the Jos S. Hendilcks farm here, resigned after much protest. Mr. Smith will attend to his dairy and farm for himself In tho future. Chas. Anderson has accepted ac-cepted Mr. Smith's old position and will move in a short time into ttic house now occupied by Mr. Smith. The question of paving tho sldcwal from the store to tho depot conjointly conjoint-ly by the city and property holders, is being talked of, and Is meeting with some approval. All admit that such a work would be a great Improvement to our city though It Is certain to bo rather expensive. After spending a time at homo T.n. Morrill returned on Tuesday to his grading camp at Deeth, Nevada. Among those accompanying him were five moro Richmond young men, Frank Robinson Jr., Alvln Anderson, Frank Thompson, George Oarnctt and Elmer Stoddard. Richmond's choir continues to work hard In preparing tho cantata "Zlon" which they will present In tho opera house In tho very near future. Watch for the dato and secure your reserved seats early.
