Show Hyde Park. HYDE PARK.September 30,190(1 The Sunday School of Hyde Tark held their annual conference today. There were present or the Stake presidency, Charles England and Joseph Qulnney Jr. and of the stako board Misses Ruth Moench and Mary E. Sorcnsen, also Chorister William Smith. The day's exorcises consisted of teacher's reports, singing, reciting memory gems, class exercises, and speeches by the visiting brethern and sister. The Hyde Park Sunday School Is doing a good work under the direction of Sup-erlntendant Sup-erlntendant Joseph Walte, and assistants assis-tants Rosel Hytlo and George 7. Lamb. and Johannah Petersen also spoke of their labors and associations with Sister Sis-ter KIrby In the Primary and Relief Society. Sister KIrby was a woman who could alwas be relied upon to do her duty as It was made known to her, Reautlful and appropriate hymns were sung by the choir under the leadership of Elder Samuel Seamons. Your correspondent cor-respondent has known Sister KIrby forty years. Ho was a teacher In tho Sabbath School with her for twenty years and was a member of tho same choir with her for twenty years, and In all that time ever found her to be an honest, energetic and noble woman. She was always striving to do good to others, and tbok great pleasure in laboring among the young people. For her many deeds of kindness, yood examples, ex-amples, and kindly admonitions, Sister Amelia KIrby will long llvo In tho memories of the young pcoplo of Ilydo Park. The funeral was one of t,he largest ever held in Hyde Park. Her body now Jles within a stone's throw of her old home. Where tests In peace her mortal clay; Waiting tho resurrection day. |
