An examination exami-nation of the books will prove that not one dollar of the county's money has been wasted, and that the expenses of nearly every department de-partment have been reduced. Notwithstanding the county tax rate this yenr is less tlinn it has been for four years past, the county has retired $14,000 of bonds, thus saving the tax payers tho sum of $500.00 in interest annually, an-nually, and has erected a much needed addition to the county court house nt a cost of approximately approxi-mately $15,000,00. All oft his lins been done without with-out going in debt, and with the assurance that the bonded indebtedness in-debtedness of the county will be still further reduced within the next few years by a continuation of the policies of tho present Republican Re-publican administration. We commend the methods pursued pur-sued by the present county administration ad-ministration in determining I lie assessable values of real estate in the county, and we pledge the next administration (to the continuation con-tinuation of an equitable and uniform system of assessments. Tn view of the fnct thnt the financial condition of the county is on a sounder basis than for years past, we favor a special effort on 'the part of tho county toward the construction of better roads, and we recommend increased increas-ed appropriations therefor.
