Show Preston's Graduating Agony I Ordeal is Now Over and People are Re- H covering. Doings of Past Week. I'UKKTOX. .May 27. Commen-. ci'inent exercises at the O. S. A.I last week was the grandest one in the history of Preston and Oneida stake. Friday witnessed the elo.se of the 19th academic year of the Oneida stake academy. People from far and near came to participate in the exercises incident inci-dent to commencement week. The year has been a record breaker in so far as scholastic affairs at, tho local school aro concerned. The attendance has been unprecedented. unprecedent-ed. Twenty graduntes secured diplomas, di-plomas, as follows: Normal Graduates. Mclvin Bishop, II. P. Howell, Albertie Griffith, Anna Gassman, May Carter, Ethel Cutler. Carpentry (Thrco years' course) Christian Guudcrson. Sewing. (Three years' course.) Leona Qeddes, Luclla Norton, Delia Burgquist, Estclla Geddcs, Mrs. Ollie Poss, Charity Rasmus-sen, Rasmus-sen, Ella Kofcd, Polly Perkins, Viola Cutler, Lydia Lowe, Evn Larson, Myrtle Hoops, Ida Soron-son. Soron-son. Prof. M. J. Ballard of Logan, Prof. W. M. McKcndrick of Ogden, Og-den, and Prcst. Anthon II. Lund of Salt Lake delivered addresses. Chorus Academy Choir. Thursday 1 p. m. n delicious banquet was served in the dining room of the Domestic Science Department. The following elaborate ela-borate menu was prepared by and served under tho distinguished Miss Ella Maughan. Cream 'of tomato soup, eggs, crackers, roast veal, tomato sauce, radishes, stuffed potatoes, brown sauce, creamed corn, oyster patties, pat-ties, potato croquettes, bread and butter, fruit, salad, ribbon sandwiches, sand-wiches, sundae ico cream, angel cake, chocolate cake, chocolate, bon bons, blanched almonds, fruit. Thursday 8 p. m. The academy choir under the tnlcntcd Prof. Henry Otto, gave most beautifully the light operetta. "The Merry Milkmaids" in the now opera house before an audience of 400.
