Show BIG SKATING RINK NEAR COMPLETION Will Be in Readiness Before Be-fore End of April. Some Detail About the Equipment, Etc. Thelargo pavilion or skating rink being erected by tho Logan Amusement Amuse-ment and Investment company Is being be-ing pushed to completion very rapidly and it Is considered possible that the building will be ready for use by April 15th,asorlglnally planned. The building build-ing Is roofed In at this time and the brick work, with which the frame structure Is lo be Inclosed, Is now almost al-most completed on the south side. Tho big work yet to be done Is the laying of a floor, erection of two bal-coniesxfind bal-coniesxfind a band stand, and the building build-ing of box ofllce, dressing rooms, smoking smok-ing quarters, etc. The balconies will be erected at each end of the large hall, will be seated and sloping. Tho band stand will hang suspended from tho center of tho roof, and the rooms at the entrance of the hall will be commodious com-modious and fitted with all desirable conveniences. The lloor will bu of maple and so laid that the skater may at all times skim over the boards without with-out ever having to cross the grain of tho wood. Ten arc lights will make the Immense hall as light as day. The fiont of the structure Is to be of pressed brick and cement blocKs-and will undoubtedly present an attractive appearance. It is the Intention Of the management manage-ment to start skating there at the earliest date possible. There will bo no waiting until the inside Is entirely finished, and at this time 500 pairs of very fine skates aro here awaiting the eventful night that will mark the opening. The management has Invested In a "mechanical band," one of the late perfected Inventions costing but a little lit-tle less than $1,000, and It Is hoped that this win reach Logan In time for use at the opening. Trie mechanical baud Is a machine capable of producing produc-ing band muslo equal to tho original .fully as loud, and entirely free from objectionable noises common to record machines. The mechanical band, If found to bo entirely satisfactory, will bo used continuously, except on special occasions, when the best local muslo obtainable will bo provided. Tho management of tho new rink says that special attractions will be brought to tho rink and negotiations for expert racers and fancy skaters are now on. It Is tho Intent to give the amusement-loving public something well worth their while and it's a certainty cer-tainty that If tlis Is done the public will reciprocate. Tho new pavilion Is Immense In size and up-to-date there has been no disposition to stint In expenditure. ex-penditure.
