Show Wellsville. WKLLSVILLK, May 121. At 2 o'clock on Friday the funeral of Mrs. Martha 15. Murray was held in the Wellsville meeting house. The large crowd present and the Ii-i'utiful floral tributes show the ..(:t respect in which she was held. Tho service was conducted by Hishop Murray, of the Mt. Sterling ward, Mrs Murray being a member of that ward. The choir very beautifully sang tho following songs.: "I Need The.e Every Hour," "We Lay Thee Gently Down to Rest," "On the Resurrection Morn," aud "Nearer "Near-er My God to Thee." The speakers speak-ers were Elders Jas. II. Bradshaw, D. A. Stewart, Counselor Wm. II. Mnuglian, Bisliop E. R. Owen, John Hertford, Dan Lloyd aud Bishop Murray. A!l spoke words oi consolation to the bereaved relatives. At the peace meeting Sunday ntternoou the following program was rendered: 'The choir sang, "Peace Bo Still;" prapcr, Brother Broth-er Hichard Brcnchlcy ; singing; resolutions were given by Mrs. Mary 0. Hill; poem, Maggie Leatliam; qunrtctt, Mrs'. Sarah B. Guiiiiell & Co.; rending, Mis Stephenson; piano m.Io, Miss Esther Es-ther Allen; poem, Mrs. Maggie Smurthwaitc; quartett, Miss Carrie Car-rie Jones & Co.; leading, Helen Leathain; singing, America; benediction, Hev, Kilpatrick. Walter Glenn, Jr., returned from the Southern States Mission and is spending a IV-w days with his many relatives on his way to his home in Oregon. Mrs. Rachel Thomas, of Park City, is visiting with hor mother. Mrs. Amanda Durfee. She expects ex-pects to remain some, lime. |
