Show HYDE PARKEISMS. The Graduating Exercises Held Saturday Evening. Funeral of Mrs. Flatt. IIYDK HARK, Juno .1, 1000. The closing exercises of tho district schools wero held In tho meeting honso Saturday Satur-day evening at 8 o'clock. It Is safo to say that all those who attended enjoyed en-joyed themselves Immensely, for tho exercises were very Instructive and pleasing. Prof. Gcorgo Thomas, of the A. C. IL, delivered an address to the graduates that was highly appreciated appre-ciated by all. His subject was: "True Manhood." The speaker very plainly showed what It takes to constitute showed what It takes to constitute manhood. A synopsis of his remarks would not do Justice to the speaker, therefore we will pass It by with tho statement that It was a masterful effort, ef-fort, delivered In an eloquent convincing convinc-ing way. After the address, certificates certifi-cates were presented to tho graduates by the speaker. Dalncs, Francis Wood and Mary A. Grant. The funeral of Mrs. Mary Ann Flatt, who died last Friday, was held In tho meeting houso today at ten o'clock. The speakers wero James Hurren, William Balls, J. W. D. Hurrcn, Loreiuo Peterson and Bishop O. G. Hyde. Kach told of tho many virtues and of the humble, unassuming life of the deceased. Klghteen vehicles filled with relatives and friends followed the remains to tho cemetery, where all that was mortal of Grandma Flatt. was consigned to mother earth. Ills Purpose.
