Show SPUR CONTINUES CONTIN-UES MENDON Ueports of the railroad situation between Mendon and Wells We say ttiat a few team's still continue at work on the grade. The present thaw, though but ery slight, makes work all but impossible, but It is expected that the grade will be readv for lies and rails by the spring time. A condition con-dition that is giving no little dltllcultv at piesent is the presence of a rock formation through which a fifteen foot cut will have to be made. This is near the Wellsvllle cemetery. The graders were anticipating using the scraper for tills cut, but It developed that the dirt lasted only for a couple of feet, the cut having to be made thiough solid lock. Tills Is exceedingly exceed-ingly slow work. It Is said that the Mcudonltcs have become aroused, thlnklng'lf possible that, thev might bo cut nil' tin- lalhoad. and are now wanting to ru-.li the spur to completion comple-tion at least us far as their town. |
