Show RICHMOND LADY GOES TO REWARD Mrs. Caroline Smith, a Most Estimable Lady Find of Coal Made by Peter Christensen Richmond, 1)kl c Mrs. Caiollne Strovel Smith, wife of David Smith, died here last Sunday morning after a lingering and severe illness that all the best medical skill and good nursing nurs-ing could not make well. Mrs. Smith was born in England, Sept. 27, 1817, and was therefore a little over 58 years old. She came to this country twenty-three twenty-three years ago and until lately has been an active worker here. She was an estimable woman and thought much of by all who knew her, and a kind and loving mother. She leaves a husband hus-band and four children, two of whom are married Annie Cliatterton, Flora Egan, and David and Millie. The funeral scrvlc wilt be held In the meeting meet-ing house today (Wednesday) at 11 a. in. Find or Coal. Peter Christensen has at last, after tunneling in over 300 feet and sinking a shaft of several fict, opened up and drilled four feet into a promising body of coal In his mine up Muddy.
