President Roosevelt is in the j Yellowstone park, and for the next sixteen days he expects to enjoy complete rest and cessation from public duties. He wi'l be in almost constant communication with Secreta ry Loebat Cinnabar, but notning except of the utmost importance vi!i be referred to him. In company with John Burroughs, Bur-roughs, the natu'-a list, who accompanied ac-companied him from Woshing- ton, he will closely study the nature of the vauous animals that inhabit the park. The president presi-dent has looked forward to this outing for some time, and he was in a particularly happy frame of mind when he led the cavalcade into the park. Everv trail leading into the preserve is close-guarded, and no one will be allowed to disturb the president's solitude. His headquarters will be at tne home of Major Pitcher, the superintendent of the pai s.
