Show THREATENS TO KILL PRESIDENT Man Who Made Threats Against Mc-Kinley Mc-Kinley Now Threatens Roosevelt. J. P. Brows of Redlands, Cal., who was arrested just before the last visit of Prefident McKinley, under instructions instruc-tions of Governor Gage, who learned tnat he had made threats against the president, is again in the county jail, having been taken into custody at Redlands on a similar charge, he having been overheard making threatening allusions to President Pres-ident Roosevelt. It is stated that ever since the president announced his Intention In-tention of visiting the coast Brown has been closely watched, and his arrest ar-rest was decided upon as a measure of precaution. He is charged with va- grancy, and the arresting officer, Deputy Dep-uty United States Marshal Revere, ex- I plains that he "talked too much." |
