According to Cedar City Police Chief Douglas Bolton, the Utah State Department of Transportation recently completed traffic surveys in the city and the following changes in posted speed limits were made: -Main Street from 200 North to 1045 North: 45 m.p.h. -Main Street from 1045 North to north interchange: 55 m.p.h. -Main Street from 200 North to 600 South: 35 m.p.h. -Main Street from 600 South to south of Fir Street: 45 m.p.h. -Main Street from south of Fir Street to south interchange: 55 m.p.h. The following areas remain at their previously posted speed limits: -Center Street from Main Street to the canyon: 30 m.p.h. -200 North from Main Street to 1600 West: 30 m.p.h. -All other residential streets: 25 m.p.h. -School zones during school hours : 20 m.p.h. |
