Show Enoch vfty' and Midvalley A wedding reception was held Friday evening honoring Annette Wilcken and Floyd Scott who were married in the St. George LDS Temple Friday morning. mor-ning. Among those who came from out-of-town were Mr. and Mrs. . Dick Nelson and their daughters, Kris Nelson and Rhea Deardon; Mrs. Dorothy Windberge and 'two boys of Brigham City, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Reid of Delta; Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wilcox of Las Vegas, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Dawson of LaVerkin. The Wilcken family and the Scott family were in Salt Lake Saturday to attend an Open House held in the area where the Scott family lived. Mr. and Mrs. J. Stanford Jones had their entire family here over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Delwin Wells were here from Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. John Wilson from Salt Lake, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Munson from Boise Idaho plus all of the grandchildren, grand-children, joined with Mr. and Mrs. Brent Jones and family and Mr. and Mrs. Garth Jones and family. Mr. and Mrs. George D. Grimshaw made a trip down to Arizona to visit with some of the people they knew when they were on their mission. Mrs. Julie Barnett and baby visited in Salt Lake with friends and relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Garfield enjoyed a vacation trip to Salt Lake City. Also in Salt Lake and northern Utah vacationing were Mr. and Mrs. Haken Anderson and children. The Enoch First Ward Sunday School held a party for the officers and teachers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Carter. Mrs. Hilda Fife enjoyed having her family members here for a few days recently. Her brother and sister-in-law, Brig. Gen. Hugh H. Woodford and Mrs. Woodford Wood-ford were here from Australia, Dr. and Mrs. Hugh Woodford were here from Provo, and Mrs. Doris Kersey was here from London. Mrs. Dorothy Garrett has also had a number of her family here to visit from their home in Columbus, Ohio. They included her sister, Mrs. Ethel Walter and daughter Linda, and their father, Ralph Gallager and an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gallager. session of the State Legislature. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Harris were here from Salt Lake to spend part of their vacation with Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Matheson. They and the Mathesons attended the Taylor reunion heid on Saturday at the Rock Church in Parowan. Leland Carter came from Salt Lake to spend a few days here with his children. Larry Fife is here to spend the summer with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fife. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gail Fife of Casper, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Maxwell Max-well of Bloomington were also here to attend the Wilcken Scott reception and to visit with Mrs. Mildred Maxwell. Next Monday will be the traditional Enoch July 4th celebration. It will be held at the new Church and all former residents are invited to attend. Mrs. Noreen Gray is spending some time visiting with her parents in Nevada. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Burt of Las Vegas were here at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Bunting. Mrs. Burt has been here for a time helping to take care of the family and the new baby and Mr. Burt came over the weekend to take her home. We have a correction on last weeks column. Mrs. Trudy Wilson is not the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Bronsema. It should have read Trudy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Stanford Jones. And the Richard Bronsema Bron-sema family visited here R. Bronsema. Mrs. Joy Brough and children are visiting here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Grimshaw. Her husband, Larry is a member of the Air Force and recently went to England where she hopes to join him in the near future. Senator Ivan Matheson and Representative Garth Jones spent this week in Salt Lake attending a special |
