Show HBA offers home care book Home Care i To help the new homeowner take care of the new home, the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has prepared a 52 page booklet, "Your New Home and How to Take Care of it." This booklet welcomes you to the home and helps explain the components of today's modern home. i he bookiet has three major sections: An introduction to the parts of your home; basic information needed to care for and maintain the home; and information in-formation to prepare you for the minor adjustments and repairs necessary in most new homes. The topics are presented in alphabetical order from Air Conditioning and Appliances through Water Heaters and Windows. A section on "Helpful "Help-ful Hints Concerning Your Home" includes a list of suggested tools required for minor adjustments and repairs. Thorough instructions are given for dealing with such problems as stopped up drains, doors that stick and leaking faucets. The home-owner is also warned that major repairs should be left to the professionals. This booklet is available locally for 60 from the Home Builders Association of Cor-vallis. Cor-vallis.
