Show La Rue Orton White honored at Funeral Services White's family were here for the funeral. Brothers Alton B. and Arthur B. Orton both Salt Lake City. Sisters, Mrs. Ross (Elta) Parks, Nephi, Mrs. Eldon (Esther) Chase of Henderson, Nev. and Mrs. Teryl (Joyce) Greenhalgh of Richfield and members of their families. Other family members here were granddaughter Shirlyn and husband Keith Fenstermaker, Provo who spent the weekend with their folks, the Dee Whites. Mr. and Mrs. Don White, Mesquite, Nev., Mr. and Mrs. Bob Wilkin and family members, Pioche, Nev. and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil B. Lowe, Hawthorne, Nev. who spent several days with Esther's sisters, Mrs. Helen Matheson and Mrs. Virgie Mickelson. Mrs. LaPriel D. White Lunt of Cedar City and many other friends and relatives, too numerous to mention were also here. Impressive funeral services ser-vices were held at the Summit Ward Chapel Friday April 8 for a truly lovely lady. LaRue Orton White, wife of Herbert D. White and mother of H. Dee White, Summit and Mrs. John (Jeanne) Pensis of Cedar City. She was unsurpassed un-surpassed in her homemaking abilities and kept her yard a place of beauty for all to enjoy. A most devoted wife and mother - a proud grandmother grand-mother of six and an inspiration in-spiration to all who knew her. Services were conducted by Bishop J. Frank Dalley. Family prayer by H. Dee White, prelude and postlude music on the organ by Vyonne Chamberlain. The Relief Society Chorus, accompanied ac-companied by Sylva Stapley sang two numbers, "Grandmother's Old Fashioned Garden" and "Now The Day Is Over". Invocation by Alton B. Orton, Benediction by J. Rodger .Morton, dedication of the grave in the Summit Cemetery by Don White. A piano and Organ Duet by Mary Lyman and Vyonne Chamberlain, vocal solo, Karl Mitchell , remarks by Bishop J. Frank Dalley. Eulogy, Mary G. Dalley and Speaker Oscar J. Hulet. Flowers were cared for by the Summit Ward Relief Society. The organization that she worked so faithfully in for many years. Pallbearers, Craig R. White, Donald Hulet, J. Rodger Morton, Ted Jones, Jimmy Wilkin and Cornell Hollinger. All members of Mrs. |
