Participating as member of the orchestra was Cathy Cowan, Cow-an, assistant principal of the cello section. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dee Cowan of Cedar City. Catherine Cather-ine Ford, granddaughter of Mrs. Ardella Ford of Cedar City w as also a participant as a member of the violas section. sec-tion. Randal is a graduate of Cedar Ce-dar High School and attended Southern Utah State College. He filled a mission for the LDS Church in Canada. He was recognized as one of four outstanding Utah Artists and graduated from Erigham Young University. He received his masters of arts degree at Indiana University and earned earn-ed his Ph. D in Music at the University of Iowa. While there he wa3 ree'spent of the Indiana University "Performers "Perform-ers Certificate," one of the highest honors accorded in music at the school. |
