Broadbent, chairman chair-man of the Iron County blood program, said that in the January Jan-uary blood drive the Kiwanis Club will assist in the recruitment recruit-ment program for Cedar City and the College of Southern Utah will have a recruitment program similar to that used very successfully last year. ; The Cedar City blood drive nearly reached its quota last, ' January but results in the July drawing were disastrous with only 35 pints collected towards a quota of 150 pints. Failure to reach quotas means that requirements for blood at the Valley View Medical Center j must be filled by other donors ! within the area served by the Intermountain Red Cross Blood Center. Annual Red Cross Fund Drive Is Under Way The T:on County Chapter of the American Red Cross is conducting the annual fund drive and making preparations for meeting the Chapter's quota In the next blood drawing, draw-ing, Dallen Williams, Chapter chairman, announced. The fund drive quota fori 1967 is identical with the quota of 1966 at $3,172. The 1966 fund drive raised 87 per; cent of the quota which was the best fund drive response tn many years. Reverend Grayson Gowen Is calling on business firms for contributions and the Kiwanis Club of Cedar City will assist in the organization of the residential re-sidential fund drive In Cedar City. Four outlying communities commun-ities have completed their fund drives as follows: Beryl, $54.50; Modena, $27; Enoch, $16.50; and Kanarraville, $13.20. Contributions from business bus-iness firms to date are at $500. Of this year's fund quota, 57 per cent or $1,812 is for the National Red Cross and 43 per cent or $1,360 is for carrying on activities of the local Chapter. Chap-ter.
