CONDIE James Duane Condie, a native na-tive of Cedar City, has been named Director of Student Personnel Per-sonnel Services at College of Southern Utah, it was announced an-nounced by Dr. Royden C. Braithwaite, CSU President. Mr. Condie is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William A. Condie, Cedar City. The new CSU administrator received an associate in science degree irom CSU, bacneior of science and master of science degrees from Utah State University. Un-iversity. He has also attended University of Utah and University Uni-versity of Denver. He was director of housing, the Upward Bound program, nigh school relations, and an assistant prolessor of psychology psychol-ogy at Weber State College prior to his new assignment at CSU. He was director of housing hous-ing and food services at Fort Jays State University in Kansas, Kan-sas, housing assistant and director di-rector of placement at USU, and a graduate fellow and administrative ad-ministrative assistant at U of iJenver. Mr. Condie is a member of Psi Chi, Phi Delta Kappa, Utah Academy of Arts, Letters and Sciences, and is listed in Who's Who in Education and Who's Who in the West. He is also listed in the Dictionary of International Biography and the Royal Blue Book. He was 1967 "Boss of the Year" for the Beehive Chapter, National Secretaries Assn. and is pro;-ident pro;-ident of the Utah College Personnel Per-sonnel Assn. He is a member of the National Advisory Committee Com-mittee for Counseling Youth. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and has served as a branch president, Mutual Improvement Assn. leader, Sunday School superintendent, Mclchezedik Priesthood leader, and member of the stake high council. He has also been active ac-tive in scouting. He filled a mission for the I.DS Church in the Netherlands and has traveled trav-eled in England. Belgium. France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. He is married to the former j Ccraldiiie Harris of Baltimore, i Mil. They are the parents of four sons and two daughters. ! |
