Show Republicans Select Nominees for Municipal Election At their nominating convention conven-tion last Wednesday evening the Republican party in Parowan Paro-wan selected a ticket to appear ap-pear on the ballot for the city election on Nov. 7. Party members nominated D Robinson and Glen S. Holy-oak Holy-oak to succeed themselves as Parowan City councilmen and then nominted Richard T. Harris Har-ris to vie for the third spot on the council in the coming voting. vot-ing. Robinson has been a mem ber of the council for many years, and has been head ol the hydro-electric committee ol the council most of that time. Holyoak is completing a four year term on the council after being appointed to fill the unexpired un-expired term of a member prior pri-or to being elected four years ago. Amos C. Hatch was in charge of the meeting and was re-elected as precinct chairman chair-man for another two years. Mrs. Alta Adams was named as secretary of the precinct. 1 Hatch states the those present pres-ent made contributions to the party campaign fund resulting in a sizeable amount of money to wage the election drive. |
