Show Victory Over Beaver a Must for Redmen to Hold Standing Team Standings I Dixie 4 0 1.000 Cedar 3 1 .800 Kanab 3 2 .000 Beaver 2 2 .500 Hurricane 2 3 .400 Parowan 1 3 .250 Milford . 0 4 .000 , Cedar High School Redmen wjll entertain the Beaver Beavers Friday evening in a homecoming battle that has taken on new significance since Cedar's loss to Hurricane last week. The game is slated to be played under the lights with the kickoff slated for 7 p.m. The game is a feature of the Cedar High Rodmen's Homecoming Home-coming activities. The battle between the two schools shapes up as a must for the Redmen who now have J one loss on their record and the Beaver's have proven to be an improving team over the past two weeks. Losing their first two battles to Dixie and Kanab, Beaver has come back over the past two weeks to pick up two victories vic-tories over both Parowan and Milford and both impressively enough to make it known that they will not be a push over. Offensively the Beavers run their Split T attack around a fine back by the name of Bruce Brown, who incidentally Is a son of Mrs. Neola Brown, an instructor at Cedar High School. The Redmen on the other hand, should be ready for this one. They will be in top form physically, according to Coach Jack Sawyers, and should be out after someone after last week's loss. They will also have the spirit of the homecoming home-coming activities to back them up in their effort. Coach Sawyers hopes that he can jell his squad as a team this week in contrast to the spotty effort made against a fired up Hurricane eleven. Back at full strength should be Wade Roberts and Randy Clove and with the continued fine effort of such stalwarts as Craig Knoll at fullback, Randy Robinson on the line and Eric Marchant, who turned in a fine performance last week at end. |
