Show CSU Upward Bound Students to Work at Golf Course On Tuesday, July 30, the Upward bound program at the College of Southern Utah will spend the afternoon doing improvement im-provement at the Painted Hills Golf course. 46 members with an additional 10 supervisors will work from 1:00 to 5:00. The program was originated In the student government of the upward bound. The students stu-dents felt it would be good to offer some help to the community. com-munity. They asked Mayor Loren Whetten to come and talk to them about the possibility pos-sibility of doing a worthwhile project and what could be done. The mayor suggested this project. The students then Investigated and found this to be a very worthwhile project for them and the city. The students feel that they need to learn to serve others, and prepare to take their places in their own home communities, com-munities, as leaders, and that they want the people of Cedar Ce-dar City to know that they are good citizens. |
