Show NEWS FROM SUMMIT ' . Mrs. Donna Davenport Elder Michael J. Stapley, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stapley, Stap-ley, arrived home Thursday after completing a 27 months mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The first 12 weeks were gpent at the language training train-ing school at BYU in Provo, and going directly from there to New York City he labored two years among the Spanish speaking people. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet returned home Tuesday of last week after a week's visit in Powell, Wyoming, with their daughter and family, the Leo-' ' nard Mickelsens, and were there to attend the wedding and reception of their grand-1 daughter, Christine and Mie- hael Johnson. . , The Mickelsen family arrived ar-rived hero Wednesday of last week to accompany the new- j . ly-weds to the St. George Tern-1 Tern-1 pie Thursday. That evening Bishop and Mrs. Kent Hulet entertained at their home in I Cedar City In honor of Mr. and j Mrs. Michael Johnson. The guests numbered 60 and included in-cluded Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet and all of their family. Also brothers and sisters of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar J. Hulet and their families. Others go-. go-. ing from here were the Carlisle Car-lisle Hulet and Carl Evans families. The newlyweds left Saturday Satur-day for Boulder, Colorado, where Mr. Johnson has summer sum-mer employment. They will go to Chicago, 111. In the fall to continue their education where Mrs. Johnson has a scholarship in Physics. Leonard and Dorothy Mick-1 elsen traveled to Reno, Nevada I for a weekend visit with Leonard's Leo-nard's mother, Mrs. Flossie I Mickelsen and other family members. Their children, Albert Al-bert O., Valerie, and Tammara remained here with their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Lewis of Bremmerton, Washington, and their eight children, visited here two days last week wilh Mrs. Lewis' brother and family, fam-ily, the James Princes. Mr. and Mrs. Von Davis and daughters, Laurie and Janice of Price, stopped here for a short visit last Thursday with Carol's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley. Hyium Humpherys and son Mark, left over the weekend for Denver, Colo, to visit with a daughter, Mrs. Denny Wood-ard Wood-ard and family and to get Mrs. Humpherys and Lorl, who have spent the past two weeks there. Mr. and Mrs. David Dalley of Salt Lake City were here to spend the weekend with David's Dav-id's family, tiie Ivan Dalleys. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Hyatt and (laughter, Sandi, of Par-owan Par-owan visited here Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Jay Davenport. Oillman Fife was home for a short visit last week with his folks, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Fife. Dennis Farrow is spending two weeks in Las Vegas with his sister and family, the Marc Allton's. Myra Richards who is attending at-tending school in Salt Lake City was hero recently to visit with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. ! Arden Richards. Gary Fagg had the misfor-1 tune to break his ankle for ' the second time in several i months. I |
