Show NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE ;amo up Tor Generai Conference in Salt Lake City. Nancy has gone to St. George this week where she is helping Claud's sister who just recently had a new baby. NEWCASTLE Mrs. Norma Christensen Recent visitors at the Murray Harrison home were their sons and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Harrison and family of St. George, Mr. and Mrs. rteea Harrison and family form Enterprise, Enter-prise, Mr. and Mrs. Lamond liar rison and family from Henderson, Nev, and Mr. and Mrs. MerriL Harrison and little son from Cedar Ce-dar City. Mrs. Doris Peterson, a formei resident and school teacher of Newcastle, visited last week ai the homes of Mrs. Effie Beacharn and Mrs. Cassie Christensen. An open house and wedding dance was held last week in the Valley Recreational Hall for Rex Wood and his bride Barbara. A large number of Newcastle people peo-ple were in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Piatt and children of Moapa, Nev., visited briefly in town last week. They were enroute to Provo to visit their father, Robert Piatt, who is in a hospital there. Kobb has been very ill but he seems to have rallied and is holaing his own now. Recent visitors at the Boyd Christensen home were Mr. and Mrs. Pete Valora of Torrey, Utah. Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Hulet and family were Sunday visitors in fat. George at the home of their toiks, Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Hulet. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Prisbrey of New Harmony visited this week at the home of their daughter and her family, Mi: and Mrs. Clifton Hulet. Jerome Tullis of Salt Lake City Ci-ty visited this week at the home of Scott Tullis. Mrs. Cassie Christensen visited overnight in Enterprise at the home of her daughter and her tamily, Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Tnomas. The Escalante Valley Lions Club held their meeting last week. Those attending from here were Russell Christensen, Darwin Hulet, Trusten Hart and Verl Woolsey. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Hulet and family of Cedar City were visitors Sunday at the homes of Darwin, Norman, and Clifton Hulet. Their son Clair of Las Vegas also vist-ed vist-ed here. We are happy to welcome Mrs. Geneva Gillies back home for the summer. She has spent this past winter in Las Vegas with her children. Her daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Simpson brought her home. Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hart just returned re-turned from a trip to Tucon, Arizona, Ar-izona, where they visited with their daughter and her family, I Mr. and Mrs. Jack l Margie) Lloyd. Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Tullisand family, of Las Vegas, Nevada, were visitors last week at the homes of Mrs. Mary Tullis, Sterling Ster-ling Tullis, and Scott Tullis. Visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Claud Flanders were Nancy's aunt, Mrs. Cleia Haro and her friend, Mrs. Sabel Ca-zares, Ca-zares, both of Mexico City, Mexico. Mexi-co. They are both stake workers in the LDS Church there and |
