Paul Rasmussen hit for two buckets and a free throw to move the Broncos to a 9 to 5 advan-l tage and they maintained the four point spread througfr the first quarter of play. As the second half opened the Broncos, for the first time this season, according to Coach Adams, went into a zone defense. The maneuver paid off with the Broncos moving to a 34 to 33 lead. Santa Ana regained the lead with field goals from outside then Cooper hit a long one. scored another an-other on a fast break and Castillo Cas-tillo made a driving hook shot to put the Broncos at the advantage at 40 to 37. Butler of the Dons then went to work and began to hit consist-ants consist-ants from outside on a fine push shot that put tie visitors ahead 55 to 54 with Just seven minutes left. The outside shcotlng forced the Broncos back Into a man to man defense and Santa Ana, a fine ball handling club, went right back to their pattern play. In the final seven minutes of play the lead changed hands on four different occasions and was tied twice, at 57-all and 60-all. Paul Collier of the Dons hit a field goal with Just less than three minutes rema'nlng and when the Dons regained possession posses-sion they began to stall to kill rime.
