Show Parowan to Observe 108th Birthday With Special Program Parowan City will observe Us 108th birthday on Tuesday, Jan.1 13 with the two local camps of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers making plans for an all-day cel-i ebration in cooperation with the Sons of Utah Pioneers, Parowan City and other groups in the community. The local DUP camps, the Elizabeth, Eliz-abeth, headed by May Benson and the Paulina, headed by Pearl Stevens, have the day's observance observ-ance In charge and announce that plans are under way to begin be-gin the day's observance with a Pioneer meeting In the morning, morn-ing, with the SUP being asked to prepare the program. This will be followed at noon with a group luncheon with all family groups urged to come and bring their lunch, in the manner which has been done In the past. The DUP groups will furnish free cocoa to all who attend. It Is planned to have another program In the afternoon and another one In the evening to round out the day, and the officers offi-cers of the local DUP groups extend ex-tend an invitation to all Parowan Paro-wan residents and also those from surrounding communities to Join In observing the city's birthday. All of the day's events will be held in the Firat-Second Ward chapel and recreation hall, we understand. I |
