Show Funeral Services Held For Carl Lundgren; Burial in California Funeral services were held in the Community Presbyterian Church on Monday, July 19, for Carl Otto Lundgren, who died on July 16 of a heart ailment. Mr. Lundgren was born in Cedar City on September 26 1899, to Charles and Gurll Flodqulst Lundgren. He left Cedar City for Rifle, Colo., in 1927, where he engaged in extensive ex-tensive livestock operations. He married Ruth Munroe on Feb. 21, 1936. They were later divorced. In 19-18 he moved his livestock operations to Imperial Valley in j California, where he continued in business until his retirement ' in 1960. He married Wilma Hahnwarld in 1956. She died on Feb. 19, 1963. Following his retirement re-tirement from livestock business, he carried on a building contracting con-tracting business in Chula Vista. In April 1965, he returned to Cedar Ce-dar City to make his home with his mother. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Gurli Lundgren, age 93, Cedar Ce-dar City; a daughter, Mrs. Graham Gra-ham (Carol) Thompson, Los Angeles: An-geles: three grandchildren, Los Angeles; brother Roy and sister, Mrs. F. B. (Sofia) Parkinson, Cedar Ce-dar City; sister Mrs. William (Alice) (Al-ice) Rose, Yucaipa, California. The funeral services were conducted con-ducted by the Rev. Grayson C wen, with tribute paid by Jonn M. Brown. Organ prelude was by Mrs. J. M. Palmer with music by Mrs. Richard Winterrose. Burial Bur-ial was in the Glen Abby Memorial Memor-ial Park in Chula Vista on July 21, following graveside services conducted by the Elks Lodge. |
