Show Iron County Fair Assignments Announced Amasa Stones, Paragonah, as chairman of the Iron County Fair Board, announced this week that all major assignments for this year's event to be staged Sept. 1 through 3, have been completed and work is progressing at a rapid ra-pid rate. Central assignments for the 1962 Fair were announced as follows: fol-lows: ' Home Making, Mrs. Roberta Rowley; Agriculture, ThaW Brown; Industrial department Bud Bowman; Arts and Crafts. Chester Benson; Flowers, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stubbs; Parade, L. C. Miles; Rodeo, Reed Orton; Race Meet Howard Stubbs; ever ins entertainment, Vyonne Chamberlain. Chamber-lain. In charge of the square dance jamboree will be Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bon t ley and Milt Jolley is in charge of the Pony Express Race. The premium hook, which is in the process of compilation at the present time, is under the general gen-eral direction of Joan Wheatley and Carma Mulct is the general secretary and treasurer. Each year the Iron County Fair features one of the communities the county and Mr. Stones pointed out that Cedar City will be featured this season. Many special attractions are being planned for the Fair to make it bigger and better than even before. "Each year we attempt at-tempt to improve on the Fair by offering more attractions and more opportunities and this year is no exception," Mr. Stones pointed out |
