Miss Roma Moiling, left and Miss Mary 'Ann I'almcr, wore winners in the iron County "Make It I Yourself with Wool" contest. j Cedar City Girls Win "Mako It Yourself With Wool" Contest, Enter State Meet Miss Mary Ann Palmer, IS and Miss Roma Melling, 15, of Cedar City are participating today, Thursday, in the state "Make It Yourself with Wool" contest In' Salt Lake City. I Miss Tnlmer, winner In the ' senior division, Is the daughter ' , of Mr. and Mrs. Roe Palirer of ; Cedar City. Mrs. Thelma Melling : is the mother of Miss Melling. Junior division winner. In Salt Lake City the candl-1 candl-1 dates for honors on a state lcvH will participate In a special , luncheon given for winners from I throughout Utah. They will be given special Instruction In modeling mod-eling by an- agency in Salt Lake City and this evening will participating par-ticipating in the final Judging and fashion show, ail at Hotel Utah. State winners will then advance ad-vance to the national contest. For Miss Palmer it is her second sec-ond trip to the state finals. In lOul she was the junior division winner. This year as the senior division winner she modeled a matching coat and dress. The matching ensemble was In bright Kelly green with a contrasting coat liner. i For her winning outfit Miss Melling had sewn a basic sheath In light blue, with an open front Jacket In a patterned blue wool. The garments were sent to Salt Lake City early In the week for Judging of style and workmanship workman-ship with final judging to be completed at the fashion show this week end. |
