Show Spring Art Exhibit Plans Move Forward Plans for the annual Cedar City Ci-ty Spring Art Exhibit are progressing pro-gressing rapidly, Mrs. Leatha Prestwlch, chairman, reports, and indications are that an excellent representation of leading artists throughout the country will be seen it the annual event Mrs. Florence Cardon, secre- Itary, reports that response to Invitations In-vitations to exhibit has been very good to date, Indicating that a wide range of art will be on display. She reports thhat an art gallery at San Francisco had sent a list of artists who would like to participate In the Cedar City exhibit, and invitations have been sent to each of these. All of these are leading artists not only In the West but other sections sec-tions of the country, and their participation should add much to the calibre of the annual exhibit ex-hibit The exhibit will open In the South Elementary School on Sunday, Sun-day, April 10 and continue on through Sunday, April 24, with the exhibit open to the public each afternoon and evening, and with guide service available for those who wish to visit the exhibit ex-hibit in groups. Special programs will be presented pre-sented each afternoon, with Max-Weaver, Max-Weaver, head of the College of Southern Utah art department In charge. ; Climax of the exhibit will be a concert on the final evening of the event by the , College of Southern Utah orchestra, under the direction of Prof. R. 1 Hal vereen. - - |
