Show NEWS FROM PARAGONAH Mrs. Hilma Lamoreaux Mr. and Mrs. Victor Smith of I under, Wyo., arrived here Sunday Sun-day to spend a week with the Wilson Lunds and with Vic's people in Summit. They were reunited with their four children who have been visiting here for more than a month. Mr. and Mrs. Alden Hyatt and ; their children of Lander, Wyo., arrived here Saturday. They have a two week vacation to spend here with Eleanor's people, the Clifton Stones family and with Alden's parents in Parowan. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Stones and two youngsters of Ogden arrived here Saturday to spend a week visiting with the D. A. Stones family. Mr. and Mrs. William Williamson William-son and Mrs. Anna R. Williamson William-son had a number of visitors the past week end. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Williamson and members of their family including a married mar-ried daughter, Mrs. Lyman Duke, and her small son were here from Provo for the week end; Mrs. Williamson's nephew, Ben Johnson John-son of Orem, visited here Saturday Satur-day and on Sunday her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goulding of Richfield, came for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Dalton and family returned home Thursday Thurs-day after a trip to Yellowstone and visits with many of Mrs. Dalton's relatives in Star Valley, Wyo., and in Idaho. Mrs. Olive Edwards is home again following a stay in Beaver with her son, Reed, and his family. fa-mily. Lewis Prothero was in the hospital hos-pital at Cedar City for several days last week. He was treated for a dislocated hip suffered at work at the Iron Mines on Tuesday. Tues-day. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ashton and family from the Los Angeles area were Saturday visitors at the Chester Robinson home. Ken is a nephew of Mrs. Robinson. Orval Lamoreaux sought respite re-spite from the St. George heat by coming to Paragonah for the week end with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Robinson. Miss Helen Stones took the work missionaries on a fine trip to Bryce Canyon Saturday. The young men enjoyed the Utah scenery. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson Ander-son made a quick trip to Salt Lake City Saturday of last week. They were accompanied by their granddaughter, Miss Lorraine Limb of Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. Barton and family enjoyed a vacation trip to Yellowstone Park last week. They visited with relatives in various places including the Lawrence Daileys In Riverton, Wyo. Mr. and Mrs. John LefHer returned re-turned to California Sunday fol lowing a two-week stay at their summer home here. Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux and their grandchildren, Mike and Michele Burton, left for Lay-ton Lay-ton Friday evening. Mr. Lamoreaux Lamor-eaux was to keep a Monday appointment ap-pointment with a Salt Lake City doctor before they returned home. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bauer and small daughter and the Hugh Robinson family came from Cedar Ce-dar City to spend Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Robinson. Mrs. Bertha S. Topham came home Friday after spending most of a week in Salt Lake City with her son, Lanell and his wife. She also visited with her daughter, Mrs. Marie Berrie and family of Kearns. 4-H Club camp activities were highlights last week as the annual an-nual camp was held at Duck Creek and some Paragonah young people joined in the fun. Myron Abbott and his sons, Lee, David and Russell, attended camp the first of the week. The girls "Pinheads" . group traveled to Duck Creek Wednesday Wednes-day for their three-day stay. Included In-cluded in this group were Klea Abbott, Barbara Stones, Peggy Lamoreaux, Judy Talbot, Diane Lamoreaux, Wendy Robinson and Dana Rae Smith. Mrs. Eva Lou Lamoreaux chaperoned the girls. The T. A. Robinson home was the scene of a family gathering Sunday when Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lamoreaux enterained in honor of their son, Duane, for his birthday. birth-day. Out-of-town relatives present pre-sent included the Duane Lamoreaux Lamor-eaux and Ronald Mortensen families fa-milies of Parowan, Mrs. Gaytha Benson and two daughters of Beaver and Mr. and mrs. Robin Lamoreaux of Provo. Clay and Brad Robinson of Parowan are visiting here for a time with their grandparents, Mr. nd Mrs. Chester Robinson. Their mother left for California the first of the week to attend her grandfather's grand-father's funeral. Douglas Bonzo recently of Los Angeles, Calif., was here with his sister, Mrs. Alene Prothero for several days last week. He was accompanied by a nephew, Ricky Bonzo of Cedar City. Little Patricia Bonzo of Cedar City was a guest at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Prothero Sunday. A number of visitors were at the Wilson Lund home during the past week. Mrs. Maxine Barton Bar-ton and daughter, Phyllis, were here from Milford from Tuesday to Thursday; Mr. and Mrs. Horace Hor-ace Maxwell came from Glendale for a day; Mr. and Mrs. Rex Maxwell, daughter Patsy, and grandson,' Michael Maxwell, were here from Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. James L. Maxwell were here from Glendale for the week end. The Misses Shanna, Ellen and Linda Jolley of Cedar City and their cousin, Sherlynn White of Summitt were here for the week end with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. H. Revere Robinson. A very few Paragonah people joined in the Elder's party held at 5 mile Saturday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Walker of Cedar City were Sunday visitors visit-ors here with Larue's mother, Mrs. Eda Thornton. Mrs. Emma Dalton and Mrs. Lula Bastian traveled to St. George Thursday of last week to spend the day in the Temple. Mrs. Helen Jean Stubbs and her two small daughters of Cedar Ce-dar City spent Monday in Paragonah Para-gonah visiting at the Jack Dalton Dal-ton home. Mrs. Priscilla Cude of Portland, Ore., arrived in town on Monday to spend a few days with relatives rela-tives here. She is a guest at the Joe Lamoreaux home. |
