Show NEWS FROM NEWCASTLE By Norma Christensen Mrs. Roberta Clark and daughter daugh-ter Bonnie of Cedar City were visitors Saturday at the home of their father, Robert Piatt, and also at the Warren Piatt home. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Tullis were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Thorley at their ranch on Cedar Mountain at a party Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Harrison and little son of Cedar City were visitors at the home of their folks Mr. and Mrs. Murray Harrison. It's good to see Roger Forsyth around town again. Roger is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Dean Forsyth For-syth of Cedar City and returned last week from an LDS Mission in Oklahoma and Arkansas. The Iron County Cattlemen's Association held their annual steak bake at the Five Mile Recreation Rec-reation Area in Parowan Canyon Saturday night. Those attending from here were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Al-bert Harrison and Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Gersick, as guests of the Harrisons. Visitors at the Boyd Christensen Christen-sen home over the week end were Norma's folks, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Valora of Provo, and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Steele anil baby son of Hooper Bay, Alaska. The Steeles have been attending summer school in Provo and will return to their home in Alaska next week. The Uvada Stake MIA presented present-ed its one-ac t plays Tuesday and Wednesday in Enterprise and in Panaca. Nevada. The Newcastle play was "The Pushover," by Herbert Her-bert Harcker, and all of the young people in town participated participat-ed in it. It was directed by Mrs. Iva Harrison. Mrs. Carol Harrison and two daughters of Elsinore, Calif., were visitors at the home of her sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Knell. Carol's husband Gordon, returned to their home earlier. Kathy and Mike Knell were also home over the week end and some of the cousins were visiting visit-ing from Salt Lake City. Glen Tullis of Cedar City visited vis-ited at the home of Mrs. Mary Tullis. Darla and Pamela Hulet, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Darwin Dar-win Hulet, were visitors for a few days at the home of their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Bertrand Dalley in Summit. |
