Show PARAGON AH NEWS NOTES By Hilma Lamoreaux Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Topham and family traveled to Fangultch on Sunday afternoon to attend a golden wedding celebration. The open house party was for Mr. and Mrs. Jesse N. Miller, uncle and aunt of Mrs. Topham, who were celebrating the 50th anniversary anni-versary of their marriage. Mr. and Mrs. James H. Anderson Ander-son and son Lamarr traveled to Kanab on Saturday for a visit with the Jimmy Anderson family. fam-ily. With the group together they all traveled to Page, Ariz., the Glen Canyon bridge and dam Bite. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Robb are home again after several months' absence from town. Mrs. Robb has been visiting In Idaho with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Robinson and more recently In Salt Lake City with son Jim and family. Jim, Alary and daughter Judy came to Paragonah with the Robbs last week and spent a few days here visiting relatives before returning return-ing home. Mrs. Olive Edwards was released re-leased from the Iron County Hospital Hos-pital on Tuesday of last week. She Is much Improved since her operation and is spending some time at the home of her sister, Mrs. Stella Edwards. Kelh Anderson and Arlen Cirimshaw of Enoch were the visiting vis-iting speakers in Sacrament meeting on Sunday. Miss Emily Spencer played two piano selections, selec-tions, which added much to a very fine meeting. Mr and Mrs. James 11. Anderson, Ander-son, son Lamarr and J. B. Jones enjoyed a trip to Beaver on Friday. Fri-day. They visited the Lewis Limb and James Low families and were In time for the birthday party par-ty for little Becky Low. The fellows fel-lows enjoyed some fishing at the Minersville Reservoir. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Topham and family enjoyed a trip to Salt Lake City last week, being gone from Thursday to Sunday. They divided their time between the Earl Topham and Earl LeFevre homes. Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Lund tra veled to Glendale on Saturday to attend the funeral service for Mrs. 1 Harriet Jones, mother-in-law of 1 one of Roene's brothers. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Lund of Provo were Friday visitors at the J home of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson ( Lund. Mrs. Clare Hollowood of Enterprise Enter-prise was in town for a day's visit with her mother Mrs. Eliza-t Eliza-t beth Maxwell, and the Wilson . Lunds. 1 Little Steven' and Cindy Lou IBradshaw, children of Mr. and 'Mrs. Harold Bradshaw of Adams-t Adams-t ville, are visiting here for a few days with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Leonard Topham. The parents are on a trip to California. Califor-nia. Litle Terrle and Carlene Dal-ton, Dal-ton, children of lr. and Mrs. ' Kelly Dalton of Cedar City, spent I last week in Paragonah with 1 grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Clar'. Robb. The Dalton's new baby was kept in the hospital for an additional ten days or so for special spe-cial treatment. With the Class B Basketball tournament being held In Provo last week numerous Paragonah residents arranged spring vaca- tlons or business trips to the northern part of the state to coincide coin-cide with the ball game dates and spent some time In Provo to support the Parowan High School team In tournament games. Mr. and Mr3. Clark Lamoreaux were in Provo last week and were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lamar Lund of Lehi. They also spent some time In Payson with the Byron Montagues and in Salt Lake City with the Kay Hansons. Bishop and Mrs. Victor Robinson were there also and visited with Sarah's sisters In addition ad-dition to attending the ball games. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Davenport Daven-port and their youngsters went up north for the week end. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Clair D. Robinson of Parowan Paro-wan and the group saw Satur- j day's ball games and then went on to Salt Lake City for an overnight over-night visit with members of the LeGrande Robb family. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jones were tournament visitors also. They went on to Salt Lake City (for a visit with son Melvyn and his family and after Howard's business In Ogden was completed complet-ed they will be returning to Paragonah. Par-agonah. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Robinson and daughters Valerie and Teresa were in Provo for several days last week and were guests of the Arvel Ashton family while attending at-tending the ball games. They also traveled to Salt Lake City to see thpy grandfather, Archie Lamerrvaux, who is out of the hospital now and recovering from two operations. Little Teresa Ron. inscn was taken to a city specialist spe-cialist for consultation regarding ruptured blood vessels in one of her eyes. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lister and their family combined their tournament tour-nament trip with a visit to Salt Lake City and Payson. They stopped stop-ped In Beaver on the return trip Sunday to sec Mr. Lister's mother who Is visiting in Beaver at the present time. They report her condition somewhat improved. The Listers were accompanied on their trip by Miss Sandra Robinson. Robin-son. Among the people who traveled travel-ed to Provo on Saturday to attend at-tend the tournament were Mr. and Mrs. Errol Lamoreaux, Kay Lamoreaux, Dean Robinson and the Joe Lamoreaux family. The six children of Mr. and Mrs. Clair D. Robinson of Parowan Paro-wan were week end visitors at the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Revere Robii;on. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Thornton traveled to Salt Lake City on Tuesday of last week in order to take Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Walker Walk-er of Cedar City back to Herbert's Herb-ert's physician. The eye condition Is improved but will require extreme ex-treme care. Mr. and Mrs. J. Leonard Topham Top-ham and the Bill Poardman family fam-ily traveled to Provo for Thursday's Thurs-day's games, as did Mrs. Hazel Dawn Evans and some of her children. The Evans made the trip witn tne Alma fcvans family of Tarowan. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Robb and family traveled to Provo on Wednesday Wed-nesday for the ball tournament and then returned leaving Val, Douglas and Charles to go on to Salt Lake City with their grandfather grand-father Milton Robb to spend the remainder of the week. The Robbs and the younger children traveled to Provo again on Saturday Sat-urday and returned home with the entire family. |
