Show Last Rites Accorded Paragonah Resident I Impressive funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon In the Paragonah Ward chapel for Samuel Abbott, prominent resident resi-dent of Paragonah. Mr. Abbott, a member of the Iron County School Board, died of a heart attack on Wednesday, Feb. 6 In Parowan. The services were condu' ted by Bishop's Counselor Orson Talbot. Tal-bot. Mrs. Melva Barton was at the organ for prelude and post-lude post-lude music, and also accompanied accompan-ied the choir. The choir, directed by D. Ama. sa Stones, sang three numbers, "Oh, My Father," "Sometime We'll Understand," and "I Need Thee Every Hour." Other musical musi-cal numbers Included a vocal solo by Stake President Howard Knight, and a vocal duet by Mrs. Rula Orton and Whitney Orton. At the cemetery the choir sang "Slumber." Speakers at the services were Dr. J. S. Prestwich, Bishop Victor R. Robinson and Orson Talbot. A life history of the deceased was also given by Mrs. Ruth Boardman. Invocation was by T. A. Robinson Rob-inson and benedicition by William Wil-liam H. Boardman. Prayer at the home was by Phillip Abbott, and the dedicatory prayer by Nathan Abbott. Pall bearers were Thomas and Myron Abbott, Howard Rasmus-sen. Rasmus-sen. Frank Lister, Paul Butter-field Butter-field and Bernell Hunt. Honorary pall bearers were officials of the Iron County school district with whom Mr. Abbott had served. In-eluding In-eluding Ianthus Wright. Howard Dalley, Leo Larson. H. M. Ends-ley. Ends-ley.
