Show I . . MR. AND MRS. GARY D. WATT Marilyn June Brown Recites Wedding Vows In June Ceremonies with Mr. Gary D. Watt Saturday evening, June 22, newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Gary D. Wait greeted guests in the garden gar-den of the bride's brother and kister in-law, Dr. and Mrs. Gay-len Gay-len L. Brown. The garden was at-tractive at-tractive with baskets of pink carnations and white Dutch iris, complementing the natural beauty beau-ty of the blooming flowers in the garden. The bride Is the former Marilyn Mari-lyn June Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur C. Brown of Cedar Ce-dar City. She ts a recent graduate grad-uate of the Brigham Young University Uni-versity and won her Associate of Science degree at College of Southern Utah, where she was a member of the Phi Alpha Beta and the Lambda Delta Sigma sororities. The groom, a son of Mr. and Mrs. James A. Watt of Wellington, Utah, is working toward to-ward his doctor's degree at the BYU. He was recently awarded a research grant from the National Na-tional Health Foundation. Wedding rites were solemnized on June 5th at the St George temple with President Rudgar C. Atkin officiating. This was followed fol-lowed by a wedding breakfast at the "Homespun", given by the bridegroom's parents. The bride wore a silk peau de sole gown for her wedding. The fitted, embroidered lace bodice was styled with a hand clipped neckline and sleeves that extended ex-tended Just below the elbows. The bell-shaped skirt with a rolled roll-ed self-rose fell to train length. Her bouquet was of white gam-Has. gam-Has. Attending the bride were Mrs. Dee C. Grenawalt, Mrs. Darrell Foote, Mrs. Clayton Petty and Miss Jo Ann Nelson. They wore coral-hued linen dresses with scolloped detail and carried cascading cas-cading bouquets of pink spider chrysanthemums and white fugle fu-gle mums. The flower girls were Janna and Joyce Watt, neices of the groom and Brenda and Elise Foote, LeAnne and Jan Brown, nieces of the bride. They wore dresses of the same fabric as the bridesmaids and carried small baskets of natural straw filled with pink carnations and white pom pom chrysanthemums. Best man was Jeffry Willis, usher ush-er were Dr. Rodney ... .o.vn, Dr. Gaylen L. Brown, Dr. Raymon H. Brown, James A. Watt III and Steven Brown. At the guest book was Ann Watt and Mrs. Thurman E. Hlg-bee Hlg-bee presided at the punch table. The sisters-in-law of the bride, Mrs. Rodney A. Brown, Mrs. Gaylen Gay-len L. Brown and Mrs. Raymon H. Brown, who wore corsages of pink gamilas, were in charge of the serving tables. They were assisted by Mrs. Dixie Leavitt and Mrs. Jay Thorley. Helping all through the wedding to make it m success were Mrs. "rneron Ashcroft and Mrs. M. A. Cowley. Serving the guests were Miss Judy Ashcroft, Miss Barbara Batt, Miss Mary Lou Peterson, Miss Melisa Thorley and Mrs. Edward G. Lewis. Out-of-towners who came to Cedar City for the wedding were Dr. and Mrs. Raymon H. Brown of Glendale, Calif., and their children Michael, LeAnne and Alan; Dr. and Mrs. Darrell Foote of Reno, Nevada and their children, chil-dren, Brenda, Elise, David and Raymon; Mr. and Mrs. James A.' Watt, Jr., Mrs. Leona Peacock, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Watt HI, their children Janna. Joyce and Kay; Mr. and Mrs. "Bus" Peterson Peter-son all of Wellington. Utah; Miss Marlene Hatton of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mr. and Mrs. Jarome Tullis and their son Tommy of Salt Lake City; Mr. Harold Hat-ton Hat-ton of Fillmore, Utah: Mr. Jeffrey Willis of Cody, Wyoming; Dr. and Mrs. William Baker, Mr. and Mrs. Parke Cox and daughter Tina Cox and Mrs. Earl Wasden all of St. George. The four-tiered wedding cake displayed at the wedding was made by the bride. The young couple will make their home in Provo. |
