Show NEWS OF ACTIVITIES IN SUMMIT I By Donna Davenport Wc enjoyed a special treat in Sacrament meeting Sunday when Elder Gail Maxwell of Enoch, who has recently completed an LDS Mission in the Southern States, was here to talk to us. His wife Judy sang a solo. She was accompanied by Rolayne Walker. Mrs. Margie Allton and her Sunday School class, sold barbecued barbe-cued hamburgers, salad, cake, and root beer on the church lawn Saturday evening. A large crowd enjoyed the food and supported them well in their fund-raising efforts. Mr. and Mrs. Ordell Walker and daughter of Las Vegas, visited visit-ed here Saturday with relatives. Mrs. Esther Morton, son Tony and daughter Mrs. Sheryl Burn- ette, and her two little children, all of Downey, Calif., arrived here last week to spend some time visiting with another son Rodger Morton and family; also Mrs. Morton's sister, Mrs. Albert Math-eson Math-eson and brother Herbert White and their families. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stapley traveled trav-eled to Bakersfield, Calif., Saturday Satur-day to take their daughter-in-law, Mrs. Joe Stapley and two youngsters. Joe met his family there and took them back to Merced, Calif, after spending some time here and in Cedar City with Pat's family, the A. W. Stephensons. Miss Sheral Davenport Dav-enport accompanied the Stapleys as far as Las Vegas, Nev., and returned home with them on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Alma Lawrence and family traveled to Logan on Thursday to spend several days with Mrs. Lawrence's Darents. Mr. and Mrs. W. F. King and other relatives. Alma's mother, Mrs. Ella Lawrence, accompan-panied accompan-panied them home Saturday after af-ter spending a week in Hunter with her daughter, Mrs. Norton B. Jomes and in Kaysville with another daughter, Mrs. Max Rees and their families. Mrs. Anna Dalley was in Enterprise En-terprise Saturday to attend the Sylvester F. Jones family reunion. reun-ion. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Dalley and grandson, Jon Dalley, and Mr. and Mrs. James Prince and two daughters spent the week end at Panguitch Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Von Davis and daughters of Richfield called briefly at the home of Carol's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Dalley Dal-ley Saturday on their way to Los Angeles. They were accompanied accom-panied by Von's brother, Lex Davis Da-vis and his wife, also of Richfield. Rich-field. Miss Kathleen Dalley spent Friday here with her folks. Bishop Bish-op and Mrs. Ivan Dalley, and her sister Bonnie, was home Sunday. Sun-day. Both are employed at Zion Park. |
