Show BOWLING BANQUET The annual Bowling Award Banquet for the Cedar City Women's Wo-men's Bowlhi;; Association was a success according to the 48 members present and those who planned the affair. The event took place Thursday, Fph. 2, at Sullivan's Cafe. President of the C.C.W.B.A.. Itha Lindsay welcomed wel-comed those in attendance then turned the time over to Mildred Thompson who served as toast-mistress. toast-mistress. The program opened with the comical reading given by Robert Browning. Following the meal a very unusual Fashion Show was staged. Various ladies wore fashions right out of the wardrobe attire of bowling members mem-bers and officers of the association. associa-tion. Of course, the clothes modeled mo-deled were recognized In some cases by their owners which made the show a hit. Commentator Commen-tator for the event was Ruth Seegmlller. Another very entertaining enter-taining part of the banquet was the awarding of door prizes. To complete the evening the money awards and trophies were given to tournament winners. At the home of Jay Ramsey over the week end were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Heyborne and children child-ren Lorrie, Shelr, Steven and Mary Ann from Ordervllle. |
