Show jDriver in Fatal Accident Faces Charge Papers were served Tuesday afternoon by Iron County Sheriff Otto Fife, charging Robert Delaney, De-laney, 21, of Cedar City with -Negligent Homicide.- The complaint was signed by Utah Highway Trooper Wra. Burch in conjunction with an automobile accident which oc-cured oc-cured Saturday at 12:15 a. m. tmee miles East of Cedar City in which a teen-age girl lost her life. . Delaney appeared before Justice Jus-tice of the Peace Haldow E. Chris-tensen Chris-tensen at which time bail was set at $1000. A bond was posted and the defendant released. The charge is an indictable m'sdCTTiCaitGr aiivl Ceil 1 Ifa m alty of one-year in the county Jail or a fine up to $1000 or both, upon conviction. The charge, to be proven, must establish wreckless driving resulting re-sulting in the loss of a life. Killed in the accident was Cedar Ce-dar City teen-ager Christine Lambert, 17, daughter of Chief of Police Antone H. and Mrs. Lambert. Occupants of this car were listed as Melvin Clark, 21, Las Vegas, Nev., driver and Gordon Bulloch and Gary Mackelprang, both of Cedar City. Clark was cited for driving during revocation revo-cation of driver's license and for speeding and held Saturday night on $250 bail. He was re-. re-. leased on ball Sunday. |
