Show "Outstanding Man" Award Dinner Scheduled Ian. 17 Plans are nearly completed for the annual Distinguished Service Ser-vice Award banquet of the Cedar City Junior Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, to be held next Thursday Thurs-day evening, Jan. 17, announces Chester Cripps, Jaycee president. The young man who has served Cedar City best in the past year has been selected by a special awards committee and will be presented with the DSA medal at the banquet next Thursday. The Identity of the recipient will be kept secret until the presentation pre-sentation is made. The identity of the selection committee has also been kept secret in order that they might work without influence in-fluence and that it might be easier to keep the name of "Cedar "Ce-dar City's outstanding young man" secret until the proper time. Burns' L. Sherratt, Immediate past president of the Jaycee, is chairman of the committee in charge of arrangements for the banquet. He states that the affair af-fair will be held at El Escalante hotel beginning promptly at 8 p. m., Thursday, Jan. 17. All interested in-terested men in Cedar City or surrounding communities are invited in-vited to attend. Dr. J. S. Prestwich will be the principal speaker at the banquet, with L. N. Marsden, Jr., acting as master of ceremonies for the occasion. The presentation of,the award will be made by 4.'ie chairman chair-man of the selection committee. A number of special entertain ment features have been arranged ar-ranged for the banquet, Mr. Sherratt Sher-ratt reports. |
