Show Capt. Vance Johnson Returns to Cedar On Rotation Plan Capt. Vance Johnson, 213th Field Artillery battalion staff officer, of-ficer, returned to Cedar City on Wednesday after serving with the National Guard unit in Korea Ko-rea during the past year. Capt Johnson is the first officer offic-er of the unit to be returned to the states on rotation, although several have returped on emer gency leaves. He was also the first officer of the group to reach Japan, and later Korea, having made the trip by air two weeks before the unit sailed, to make advance arrangements. The captain served as Intelligence Intelli-gence officer during the early part of th battalion's participation participa-tion in the Korean war. Later he was assigned the duties of plans and operations officer. After a 30-day leave, Capt. Johnson will report at Fort Douglas, Doug-las, Utah, for assignment with 6515th ASU, Utah Military District. Dis-trict. He reports on Feb. 10. It is understood that other officers of-ficers of the unit will soon arrive home under the rotation plan, but complete details are not available. |
