Show Imposing Exercises Outlined for A C Commencement Several students from the Cedar Ce-dar City area are among the 696 candidates for graduation from Utah State Agricultural College June 4. Those from this area include Willard Leigh Gardner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gardner; John Warren, son of Mrs. Emma W. Warren; Garry Boyd Adams, son of Mr. and Mrs. Evelinn Adams; Lorraine Miller, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence E. Miller; Boyd Allen Whitby, son of Mrs. Jennie Whitby; LaRee Munford, daughter of the Mr. and Mrs. Chester Munford, Parowan, and Winona Prince, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Reed Prince. All friends of U S A C are invited in-vited to attend the graduation program in the college field-house. field-house. On Friday, June 3, at 7 p. m. there will be a combination combina-tion inaugural and baccalaureate service. Saturday, June 4, at 10 a. m. will be the commencement exercises. Dr. Daryl Chase will be inaugurated inaug-urated as 10th president of Utah State by Bishop Thorpe B. Isaacson, Isaac-son, chairman of the board of trustees. Richard L. Evans of the Council of the Twelve, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will give the baccalaureate sermon. ser-mon. Dr. Howard S. McDonald, president of Los Angeles City and State College and a graduate gradu-ate of U S A C, will deliver the commencement address. Mr. Garder and Mrs. Warren, Cedar City, are both receiving their bachelor of science degree with a major in history and a ' minor in zoology. Mr. Adams, Cedar City, is receiving re-ceiving a bachelor of science degree de-gree with a major in physical education. Miss Miller, Cedar City, is receiving re-ceiving a bachelor of science degree de-gree with a major in elementary education. Miss Munord, Parowan, is also receiving a bachelor of science degree with a major in elementary elemen-tary education. Miss Prince, New Harmony, Is receiving her B.S. degree with a major in political science. Mr. Whitby, Cedar City, is receiving re-ceiving his B.S. degree in physical physi-cal education. |
