Show lames Condie Shows European Slides At B. P. W. Meeting Much fun, delicious food and an evening of interesting entertainment enter-tainment marked the Business Professional Women's club pot luck supper held at the home of Mrs. Lilllam Lunt Wednesday evening. The committee in charge was composed of Mrs. Faye Horsley, Mrs. Bessie Whiting and Mrs. Ruth Bentley. Elder James Condie, who recently re-cently returned from the mission field in Europe, showed slides and gave an interesting talk on his travels through Holland, Belgium, Bel-gium, Paris, Rome and England. German accordion music was furnished fur-nished by Bernard Wilkin. Twenty-seven members and guests enjoyed en-joyed the evening. Proceeds from the affair will go toward some worthy project of the club for the year. The Utah B P W clubs have been asked to join with the Utah Foresters in observing conservation conserva-tion week In Utah, and the local club has already held a meeting, meet-ing, at which slides were shown and a lecture on conservation was given by Helen C. Payne. Other activities will be participated partici-pated in later in the week. At the Wednesday meeting a nominating committee composed of Leta Cowley, Eula Gardner and Candace Ewlng, was named to make nominations for the coming election of officers. |
