Show Baseball, Track Men Preparing for Spring Competition Although the cold and windy-weather windy-weather of the past week has curtailed activities quite a bit, Coach "Twist" Jones of the Parowan Par-owan high school has had crews of men out every night fr the past 10 days participating in baseball and track and field activities. ac-tivities. A regular league schedule of play has been drawn up by the schools of the Millard division of Region six, with all schools except ex-cept Millard coming in. Millard places all its efforts in the track and field events in which it regularly reg-ularly excels all schools in the state. Parowan was to have opened its league schedule on the local diamond today with Milford, but the game was postponed to April 20. The local team will play Beaver Bea-ver at that place. Hinckley in Parowan and Delta at Delta we understand with dates to be announced an-nounced later. Coach Jones has also lined up home and home practice games with Cedar, Enterprise and Hurricane Hur-ricane of the Dixie division. Cedar Ce-dar is scheduled to play here tomorrow, to-morrow, Friday, afternoon at 4 o'clock, he announces. Mr. Jones also has a squad of about a dozen men participating participat-ing in the track and field events, but trying to handle both sports alone, he can't give too much time to the latter activitiy, but he states that he will take several sev-eral men to the Region track and field meet this year. |
