Show Panel, Luncheon Set For Utah Educators at BAC Fair I School administrators from southern Utah will be guests of the Branch Agricultural college Education Association at a panel pan-el discussion, a luncheon meeting meet-ing and an afternoon movie, all in connection with the Education Fair April 17 and 18. Principals and superintendents from southern Utah counties will meet for their regular business meeting, and will participate in theB A C education fair while here. Dr. Don A. Orton, dean of the school of education, University of Utah, will be chairman of the panel discussion. "School-Community Relations" has been set up as the subject for the panel. Milton A. Moody, superintendent of Washington County schools, will give the keynote address preceding the panel discussion. T. Lavoy Esplin, Kane County superintendent will be recorder and will summarize the findings of the discussions. Members of the panel ire Seymour Sey-mour P. Fish, superintendent of education, District No. 1, Overton, Nov.; Elliott Cameron, principal of South Sevier high school and superintendent-designate of Sevier Se-vier County schools; Leland E. Anderson, Juab County school superintendent D. C. Dix, Douglas Doug-las Clark and Mrs. Theron Ash-croft, Ash-croft, lay members, Mrs. Zoe 'R. Palmer, a teacher at Cedar high school, and three B A C stu-j stu-j dents. The students are Fenton Tobler, Santa Clara; Blair Ken-ney, Ken-ney, Cedar City, and Marilyn Ronneau, Panaca, Nev. The panel will be held April 17 at 10 a. m? in the Bootstrap theatre at B A C, and will be open to the public as well as students interested in education as a career. Dr. Orton will be the speaker at a noon luncheon in the B A C cafeteria. He will speak on "New Trends in Teacher Training". Vida Mackleprang, Orderville, president of the B A C E A club will be toastmaster. Ianthus Wright, Iron County school superintendent, sup-erintendent, will introduce the speaker following a welcome by Dr. Daryl Chase, B A C director. A "sneak preview" during the afternoon will complete the day for the visiting administrators. |
