Fish And Game Law Violations Increase The rising trend of fish and game law violations was vividly reflected today in figures released by the accounting division of the Utah Fish and Game department showing .'Elected fines for 1946. Armand Carr, Chief Clerk, reputed re-puted that the department received receiv-ed $17,793.45 In collected fines foi the year, an Increase of more than $7000 over 1945 when $10,114 82 was received. The figure has climbed rapidly from 1942 when $5588.10 was collected collect-ed fines. In 1943 the figure was $8,753.03 and In 1944 the department received $7121.13, the only decrease In the five year period. Carr pointed out that the 1946 total also indicated Increased activity acti-vity on the part of the state's game wardens. Through November 17 of 1948, wardens had reported a total of 663 arrests as compared with a 12-month total of 550 for 1945 and 379 for 1944. .Only 131 arrests were reported for the entire year of 1942. |
