Show Daughters of Pioneers Compiling Historical Records of County The Iron County Cump of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers Is compiling a history of all the pioneers pion-eers of Iron County. We need the :ife stories of your people. We want the story of all thoi,e who grew up as pioneer children in Iron County. It you haven't much Just give us a short sketch of all your Ploneej fathers and mothers. Some of the histories we have are not complete and need revising, so please contact con-tact me at once, as we are ready to begin our work. Act now, as you will be sorry If your people are not listed In our books We have only a short time lr which to preserve the facts of a vanishing period of time We know nur.e about the Egyptians of 4,000 years before Christ, than we know of our own people Whole decades are already forgotten. Now is the time to write that history. Soon, we will have forgotten and the deeds of a race win be unrecorded. We owe It to their memory, that we record for posterity thot thej lived and loved. They were the building stones in the foundation of a mighty empire and they deserve recognition. Fifty years from now, there will come eager young people, thirsting for knowledge. Ours Is the task, now to supply the fountain. That Is what libraries are for. Long after the popular novel has been discorded, discord-ed, the demand for knowledge of the makers of the republic will continue. con-tinue. Let each of us contribute our mite. It will make a volume worth while. Our ancesters had no newspapers, news-papers, but they were the real newa makers of their time They made news which Is still rocking the world.
