Show Quick Thinking Cedar Man Helps Hab Thief Quick action Sunday night by a service station attendant in Cedar City resulted in the arrest in St. George of a man who was driving a car which was stolen in Provo sometime that day. Through information supplied by Harold Jameson, police were able to apprehend the man in St. George. According to George Manning, Cedar police officer, the driver is being held in Washington Wash-ington county until Utah county coun-ty officers appear to take him oway. Jameson became suspicious when the driver asked for gas but stated he had no money, but would trade a cigarette lighter or some jewelry for the gas. Jameson Jame-son gave the driver the gas. but immediately afterward called the Cedar police department, giving the license number and the make of the car. St. George police were then advised to intercept him when it was found that the car was listed as stolen. The driver of the car was armed arm-ed when apprehended in St. George. |
