Show Utah Parks Council Has Record Scout Enrollment Membership in the Utah National Na-tional Parks Council, Boy Scouts cf America, is at an all-time high, Rulon W. Doman, council executive, announced today. As of January 1 1950, a total of GG30 boys and 413 cub, scout, and explorer units were enrolled, Mr. Doman said. "While scout advancements were slightly under the record of some previous years, the enrollment enroll-ment continued to grow and 10 new units were added during 1919", the executive stated. The 6G30 scouts in the council pre directed and supervised by nearly 2200 scouters. From the standpoint of area, the Utah National Tarks Council is the largest council in Region 12, Boy Scouts of America, which covers the states of Utah, Nevada, Neva-da, Arizona and California plus the Hawaiian Islands, while in ,cout membership it is exceeded only by Councils at Los Angeles and Salt Lake City. The Council stretches over 19 of Utah's 29 counties, covering all territory in the state south of Salt Lake, Summit, Tooele and Daggett counties, and the area in Arizona north of the Grand Canyon. |
