Show Former Cedar City Resident DiesatRockville Mrs. Sarah Ellen Chatterley Haight, 86, for many years a resident resi-dent of Cedar City, died at the home of a daughter in Rock-ville, Rock-ville, Monday, January 16, of ailments ail-ments incident to age. The body was taken to Los Angeles for burial, where Mrs. Haight had resided since 1921. Nellie Haight, as she will be remembered by the older people of Cedar City, was born here on October 3, 1863, a daughter of John and Sarah Whittaker Chatterley, Chat-terley, and resided here until 1921. On June 24, 1891, she was married to Caleb Haight in the St. George LDS temple. She was the oldest child of her family, and was the last survivor. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, bro-thers, six sisters, and her hus band. Mrs. Haight is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Kathleen H. Rimmer, Los Angeles; Mrs. Cora H. Cox, Rock ville; Mrs. Sarah Hackrell, Beaver, and one son, Chauncey Haight, Los Angeles. An-geles. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren and 20 greatgrandchildren. |
