Arli- . ona, after many months of tllners. ' He was born in UocKville, Utah. 1 February 24, 1833. and Is the son of ' Sarah Cox Stout and the late David Dav-id Fisk Stout. : Mr. Stout was a successful educator. edu-cator. He taught many years in Utah schools, including four yepr at the old Murdock Academy and seven years at the BAC, from 1923 ! to 1930, where he was head of the ' Education department. In 1943 he 1 resigned from the Carbon Jr. college col-lege because of ill health. He taught . eight years in Carbon county. I Mr. Stout received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University, and studied nt Columbia University under John Dewey. ; lie Is survived by his widow, Es-tella Es-tella Jensen and his mother, two sons, Wendell 3r. and Dr. Carlyle Stout,, and one daughter, Jean'. He ; is also survived by eight sbters and I six brothers. |
